I’m Laurie Hugdahl, a certified holistic health coach, whole food cooking instructor, and wellness professional.

I help women find wellness again or for the first time so they can reach their full God-given potential.  I teach simple and effective health strategies that lead to sustainable habits and a higher level of peace and wellness for them.

I work one-on-one (online and in person) with women in my signature 3-month coaching program, Shine in Six  I also run online clean eating programs, whole food plant-based programs, seasonal detoxes, smoothie challenges, and other programs several times per year. I regularly share recipes and health insights here on my blog and also on Facebook and Instagram.


On a more personal note:

I am a very blessed mother of four and wife to my dear hubby. I’m passionate about my faith, holistic health (mind-body-spirit), natural living, and real food 🙂 When I’m not teaching cooking classes or working with clients, you might find me chauffeuring kids, thumbing through a cookbook, practicing a yoga pose, making some delicious & nutritious food, (thinking about) weeding my veggie garden, hanging with the family and friends, shopping at Trader Joe’s, or walking my wacky dog Louie.

After neglecting my health for a long time while homeschooling all four kids and working another job from home, I made a decision a few years ago to finally reclaim my health and vibrancy. While very fit and healthy in my younger years, I was also a master at ignoring my emotions. As I got older and life got more complicated, I struggled with an eating disorder, obesity, depression, binge eating and liking wine a bit too much. Even though I have been passionate about whole foods and natural health for years, I finally realized you can’t eat yourself healthy if your thoughts and actions are still unhealthy.  The mind-body connection cannot be denied.

Healing is a process, but it begins with love. Of yourself. After all, loving your neighbor as yourself assumes that you love yourself!

Having the absolute best of intentions, women – especially moms – tend to give tirelessly to others and put themselves last on the list. Like many others, I did this thinking it’s just what moms do. I’ve learned how I can be a BETTER mom and wife by not only eating healthy and having a healthy environment, but also practicing self-care and making myself a priority.

It’s a win-win for me and my family.

I received my training as a Certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. I have pursued additional training in herbs, essential oils, whole foods, and holistic health through Vintage Remedies, and have done extensive self-study and research of plant-strong and nutrient-dense diets.  I’m currently working on yoga certification through YogaFaith. My professional and personal education and research have equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventative health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them discover their unique health blueprint and make lifestyle changes that produce real and sustainable results.
