Healthy Raw Chocolate Almond Spread – similar to Nutella

Who doesn’t love Nutella? Well, here’s a version that’s much better for you and delicious to boot. You can play around with the ingredients to suit your tastes, your needs, and what’s in your pantry 🙂 Have fun!

Healthy Raw Nutella  Ingredients for Healthy Raw Nutella

Chocolate Almond Spread (Raw, Vegan)


  • 2 cups almond meal (or almonds)
  • 2 T coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • dash of sea salt
  • dash of pure vanilla extract
  • almond milk (if needed to thin out)


Blend the nuts or nut meal in a food processor until smooth and glossy. Keep scraping the sides and pushing it down. Be patient. This can take a while!

Add coconut oil, maple syrup, sea salt, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.

Tweak flavors as needed. Add almond milk if it needs to be thinner.

I like to top it with a sprinkle of sea salt.

Note: You can increase the nutritional content of this by using nuts that have been soaked for at 6-10 hours, rinsed and drained until not dripping instead of nut meal.
