Basic Go To Mango Green Smoothie

I hope you have experienced green smoothies, but just in case you haven’t I want to introduce you to my favorite Go To Mango Green Smoothie. I’m not sure why this is my go-to smoothie. Maybe it’s because I almost usually have all the ingredients on hand. Maybe it’s because it tastes so yummy. Or maybe it’s because it’s one of the first ones I made years ago when I first discovered green smoothies.  I kind of burned myself out on smoothies a few years ago when I was having them every single day, but lately I’ve gotten back into the habit again. I’ve been drinking Shakeology which I think is awesome, but I’m waiting for a new shipment and in the meantime I remembered my old friend.

Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe

Go To Mango Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Big handful of spinach (If you are just starting out with greens, start with a smaller handful!)
  • 2 cups water/almond milk/or a mixture
  • 1/2 frozen or fresh banana
  • 1 cup frozen mangoes
  • sweetener if desired (or add more banana)

Directions:

Blend all in a high-powered blender until smooth and creamy. Adjust the amount of liquid to suit your tastes. I used to like my smoothies thicker, but now I actually like them pretty thin and without the banana so it’s more of a juice. Play around with it and have fun.

Here’s to your good health 🙂
